カレー(curry)!!!!

おいしかった!!! We just had the most delicious curry for dinner!! Holy! Debra, you will be so jealous!!! I helped make it, but really didn`t do much lol. Seriously, this curry was great!!!!!!

Here are a bunch of photos to make you jealous!!! n_n

おなかがいっぱい!

Mikan! (manadrin)

After the manga store Keiko, Hirokun and I went to this place where you can cut your own mandarins, and its all you can eat too. So we picked a basket full and seriosuly ate SO MUCH. I think I ate like 10 mandarins, and it was like 200 yen!! Oishii!!

Haha on the way to the mandarin place I spotted this sign. Classic.

Bookstore! ^.^

Holy crap! Went to a book store today with Hiroyuki as he was going to find a new manga series to read and SERIOUSLY... I cant believe how cheap manga is here. Its literally nothing! And they have SOOOOOOOOOOOO much, its ridiculous! I want to move to Japan, get perfect Japanese and then read manga forever!

They were having a haf price sale, so those prices you see were half of what they are. They had full sets of manga, for example 40 issues for 4,000 yen. That is RICULOUS.

I so wanted the full Beck series, but that shit would way a TONNE.

Here is me outside enjoying the aweosme, crisp weather with my full set of Death Note manga that cost me 1,200 yen. YES, ONLY 1,200 YEN. Thats like $20. 1 manga in NZ costs more than that!

And here they are in all their ridiculously cheap glory...

ぼくの日本の家族

Just finished another great dinner! Sooo lucky! A deep fried tofu with Chinese green non descript vegetable, daikon radish(not too keen!), delcisous vegan miso, lots of ice, as well as a green salad. I think my body will go into shock from never eating so well!

Finally, here are some photos of my host family!
Katsuhiko (父) and some retard...

Keiko (母) and that same retard....

And finally Hiroyuki (弟) with that same retard..

And here is the family minus said retard...

I will update agin when I have some more photos to post!

PS Japanese TV is every bit as insane as I thought it would be n_n

Tadaima!

Ok, big photo update! Just had my second day of classes, and took a bunch of pics on the way home. Wow! Went to school with Katsuhito (father), who showed me how to walk to the station, which train to get and then how to walk to school! He is really nice!!! n_n

Here is a photo of my University... well at least my building!

This is outside the little mall opposite my university.. as you can see there are HEAPS of bikes, Everyone seems to bike here, ither that or have tiny cars! Its great, although witha population over over 130 million I guess you can all drive 4 wheel drives ;)

0.0 This is inside the local super... Japanese beer heaven!!!

These photos are all from my walk home from uni, before and after that train n.n

This sign cracked me up... everything is so cute here!!

Kore wa Jidouhanbaiki! They are everyhwere! And you can get loads of differnet things in them... its crazy you can get beer).. I even saw one where you could get 700ml bottle of beer. But whats stopping kids buying it? Haha

Just around the corner from my house is this cute cake store... now if only it was vegan... >.<

The next lotos pics are all houses on the way home.. seriously, 95% of the houses here are like this. Very beautiful, very traditional and all have small but impeccible gardens.

Here is a cute little truck,, seriously, it was so small (This one is for Debra) n.n

And here is my house!

And here is a sign on most houses.. no idea what its about, but its cute as!

Again, their garden is perfect, like all gardens I have seen.

Amd here is my room!! (I sleep on the futon by the way... when in Rome...)

Later that evening we went to Besto Denki (electronics store) and outside was this stand. Turns out that its mochi with sweet bean filling and totally sweet for vegan gaijins like myself! Its called Umegaemochi... haha when I asked the guy for a photo, he seemed pretty sketched out. Probably though I was some insane foreigner or something hah. Incidently, Besto Denki sells second hand CD`s and I managed to pick up 2 Ajikan CD`s for REEEEAL cheap ^.^

Ok, i`m off! Just had a huge breakfast again! Will post pics of my family very very soon! Mata ne!
