お酒! Sake!

After lunch Bikke took me on a mission to find some nice Sake so he, Katsuhikosan (father) and I could have a drink together after dinner (kanpai!)... And we ended up here! This place had these awesome 3-d cut ours on the walls, really beautiful.

I wanted to take more pictures inside, but there were lots of people, and I didnt think they`d appreciate having their photo taken by a weird gaijin! >.<
But this store has EVERY kind on Japanese osake there is... there was seriously sooo many different sake`s... so really beautiful bottles too.

In there I spotted this guy... a 125ml can of beer! haha this thing is sooooo little... it was gone it 2 gulps haha. Cute huh Grant?

At anothe sake shop, I saw these little (well, actually HUGE) drums of sake.

Vege/vegan/natural food restaurant!

I got picked up from Uni yesterday by Keikosan. Actually, her nickname is Bikke (BE-KAY) so i`ll refer to her as that from now on. Anyway, Bikke had found a vegan friendly retaurant and took me thee for lunch as a surprise! I was really pleased!!

Here is the restaurant (which actually has kitchens in it in which they hold natural foods cooking classes).

We had a 3 course meal, and you coudl select the dishes for each... first we got some really delivious ocha (green tea).

Here is me and Bikke! Goddamn, I try and do a serious face for once and look like a moron anyway.

Here was the entree.. so many scary looking things!! EEP! I tried them ALL though... Japan has made me so brave at trying new foos which is good. Suffice to say I dont like a lot of them, but at least im trying them!

This was a weird sesame tofu dish which was warm. It tasted nice, but was seriously weird at the same time.

This was the main I chose, some kind of udon dish. The broth was delicious.. I ate round the onions though haha... I HATE ONION!

Now the dessert was the BEST! This is honey-dew melon crushed ice, with tomato/agar jelly and of course ringo (apple)... oishikatta!!

There is teh retard! Along with Bikke and the 3 chefs that work at the restaurant!!

Incidentlly, Bikke went to the toilet afterwards so I ran out and quickly paid for us muwahaha! She neve lets me pay for anything, so I was glad I coudl for once. She as really suprised/embarrassed and tried to give me money millions of times haha

Misc pics..

Take last night... thought Debra would like this one ;)

Ebisu Ramen Centre haha

That is a HUUUUUUUUUGE ferris wheel at Space World, which is a Theme park over here. You can`t tell ho massive it is from the photo but its seriously big.
Another one for Debra. There are so many small, weird cars here is ridiculous. And this one is lavender no less!

This is just the sogn out the front of my Universoty, there are actually 3 Universities on the same campus.

This sign cracks me up every time I walk into the toilets at school. Shitting into a urinal... NO! Must remember that... Still haven`t been brve enough to try the sqautting toilet... I think i`ll stick to the bowl thanks.

Ofurou (bath)

Also, I get to have a bath every night! I love Japanese baths so much! They are really deep!! This was a green tea bath too!!

Photos from my walk home yesterday

Forgot to post them!!

Also spotted this naughty looking Japanese cat!! So cute!! Wasn`t too keen on me though lol!

Then when I got home...

.... I find this!!! Vegan o-den!!! (O-den is a traditional and popular Japanese dish but usually has fish and eggs in it, but its like a soup/broth with loads of bits and pieces in it)..

Here are my instructions and what went into it! So kind huh? The host mother goes to so much trouble for me, terrible vegan homestay!!!

And here is a sample dish with what is in it!!

And here is a O-den!! I will post a review later after I have eaten it!!!

Kyou!!! (today)

Whoa! Did so much today!! And it was really perfect weather, not cold like yesterday. It actually got hot even at one point!!

After class, 2 Japanese students from our university offered to show Sean and I around Orio machi (city our Uni is in). So I spent ALL DAY walking around, I am totally knackered now!

I took this photo for Debra (and Maiko!!) of Doubutsu no Mori at this HUGE game/CD/manga/figurine shop... it was heaven!

And here is a photo outside that shop with Ajya and Waka (and retarded me of course!)

And this is outside a mochi shop wher I got free samples of tea and bean mochi!! Oishikatta!!

And here is what I came home with! And YES, that is a Totoro toilet seat cover!!!
